| Payyanur Souhruda Vedi is a global unity of Payyanurians. Its primary aim is to bring all the Payyanurians around the world under one umbrella and co-ordinate their social and cultural activities. Payyanur Souhruda Vedi provides a platform for its members to interact with the social and cultural life of the hometown. | ||||||||
Payyanur Dot Com and its Egroup played a vital role in the formation of Payyanur Souhruda Vedi. The initiative of Sri. VP Sasikumar (Dubai) in this regard is specially appreciated. It was a suggestion from Smt Usha Nair, a member of the Payyanur Egroup, which lead to the conduction of a get together of Payyanurians living in UAE at Dubai. The success of the get together held at Dubai on 26th April 2002 under the patronage of Payyanur Dot Com chalked out the possibilities of an organization to coordinate the activities of non-resident Payyanurians. |

| As a result the first
general body meeting of this unity was held on 31st
May,2002 at Indian Association ,Sharjah. This meeting named
the organization as“Payyanur
Souhruda Vedi”. At present Payyanur Souhruda Vedi
has two chapters functioning independently- one at Dubai
(Dubai and Sharjah), Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
