Shri C.R. Nambiar (Cheeyancheri Rajagopalan Nambiar) M.Sc (Engg.), MIE, MIETE, FCSI, DBM, son of Late Shri Varikkara Kunhiraman Nayanar and Smt. Cheeyancheri Kunhiparvathi Amma is a reputed and widely acclaimed personnel in the Kingdom of Bahrain, hailing from Kunhimangalam. He has been working with Bahrain Telecommunications Company (BATELCO) for the last 26 years as a Telecommunication Engineer in their Special Services Division. Shri C.R. Nambiar has also worked with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., Hyderabad, and Cochin Refineries Ltd., Ernakulam.
His wife Mrs. Vanaja R. Nambiar is from Ramanthali, and is living with him in Bahrain. His elder son Ranjit, completed his B.Tech., MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, and is presently working as IT Manager in Bangalore. His daughter in-law Nisha completed her MBA from Symbiosis Institute for Management, Poona, and is presently working as Asst. Marketing Manager with Taj Group in Bangalore. His younger son Rajesh completed his BE in Computer Engineering, and is presently working in Bahrain as Network Specialist.
Shri C.R. Nambiar is a well-known social worker among the Kerala and Indian communities in Bahrain, and held the following important positions: 
 
a. General Secretary, The Indian School, Bahrain
b. President, The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, Bahrain
c. Founder and President, Kerala Social & Cultural Association, Bahrain
d. General Secretary, Malabar Airport Development Committee (MADAC), for Calicut Airport Development
e. General Secretary, Coordination Committee of Indian Associations (CCIA), Bahrain
He is presently holding the following posts:
a. General Secretary, Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF), Bahrain (under Embassy of India, Bahrain)
b. Co-ordinator, Indian Community Services (Legal Aid, Relief & Welfare Services for Indian nationals in Bahrain)
c. General Secretary, World Malayalee Council, Middle East & Africa Region
