 Kannur District Co-operative Bank, the pioneer bank in the co-operative sector has been playing a vital role in the overall development of the district. It acts as the leader friend of  all the primary co-operatives.

The bank came into existence on 1st July 1963 and since its inception it could achieve steady and consistent progress in all spheres of activities. The overall business of the bank has gone upto Rs. 81,000.00 lakhs.

Our bank with a network of 48 branches spread over the district is extending advance to PACs as well as individuals for varied purposes giving emphasis on priority loans. The loan outstanding of the bank has crossed Rs. 422 Crores. The bank has diversified its lending portfolio to cope up with the present day requirements of all categories of general public.

WELFARE ACTIVITIES: In addition to the banking activities the bank in extending many a welfare activities like aid for medical treatment for the downtrodden; complimenting students in their meritorious achievements in SSLC, Plus Two etc. Pension to the building and other construction workers is also channelised through our bank. The bank also extends its support to all major events of public interest in the region. 

 

RECOGNITIONS: As recognition of its profound performance the A rating District Bank has been awarded BEST PERFORMANCE AWARD of NABARD      consecutively for 3 years, i.e. 1997-98, 1998-99, 1999-2000. The bank has also been awarded trophies by Kerala State Co-operative Bank for the last several years for the mobilization of deposits.  

RESERVE BANK LICENCE: The Kannur District Co-op Bank being the holder of Reserve Bank of India license is committed to serve the general public with much more endeavor and enthusiasm.  

COMPUTERISATION:  To cope with the modern banking scenario we have already computerised few or our branches. The entire system will be fully computerised with in a short span of time.
