Shri T.V. Balan, widely known as Balan Payyanur, son of late Shri T.V. Raman (Textile Businessman) and late Smt. T.T. Kunhathi Amma, is a commonly accepted and acclaimed personnel among the malayalee community especially among Payyanurians in Bahrain.  

Presently Shri T.V. Balan is working as a Purchase Manager with a reputed Construction Company in Bahrain.  He also worked with GRAMCO, Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mills, Muharraq Engineering (a leading engineering company in Bahrain). Prior to arriving Bahrain Shri T.V. Balan worked with Ordinance Factory Service (Ministry of Defence – Heavy Vehicle Factory) at Avadi, Madras for more than 22 years. Shri T.V. Balan completed his education at St. Mary’s Primary School Punchakkad, Central School Keloth and Government Boy’s High School Payyanur.  Shri Balan completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic, Kannur. His wife Sharada is from Nileswar, Kasargod District and is working as a Staff Nurse at Salmaniya Medical Centre (Ministry of Health, Bahrain).  She also worked with Manipal Medical College Hospital at Karnataka, Vijaya Clinic at Madras, Ministry of Health, Iraq before arriving Bahrain. His only son Avinash Balan born in Bahrain is presently studying in 12th Standard with Indian School, Bahrain.  Mr. Avinash is well known for his extra curricular activities at the Indian School, Chinmaya Society (Balavihar) and ISCON, Bahrain.
